Grateful on Veterans Day

November 11, 2012

One person cries, “We need a better government.”  Another yells, “We need better citizens.”  Good citizens understand duty.  No group of citizens are revered for their duty to the nation more than our veterans.  That is a good thing. Over 48 million Americans have served in the military since 1776.  So many have given so much so that we may live in liberty.  But that is not the whole story.  So many of the men and women of our Armed Services have served so that others – not Americans – would not live in tyranny.

America has been, and remains, the aberration among nations.  Honor a military veteran today.  Be grateful they are ours.
